Christina Wren received her B.F.A. in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, South Africa). At NYU, she studied at the Collaborative Arts Project of the 21st Century, the Experimental Theater Wing and at Stonestreet Film and Television studios.

After seeing her in an Athenos Hummus Commercial, director Zack Snyder had her audition for the new Superman, Man of Steel and cast her as “Captain Farris.” Man of Steel will be released in June of 2013.

Christina recently wrote, produced and starred in the feature film, Saudade?. Other Film/TV credits include Static Shock (Frieda Goren); Ships Wrecked Cove (Cathy); and Coffee Shop Philosophers (Brenda). New York theater credits include the role of Teresa in The Burning, as part of the Midtown International Theater Festival, Janice in Greener Pastures at The Public Theater (directed by Karen Carpenter), Cressida in Troilus and Cressida at the SoHo Repertory Theater, and Corolina in Tejas Verdes at the Hudson Guild Theatre.

Christina also produced the feature documentary, “Streetball,” following South Africa’s homeless street soccer league to the international competition, the Homeless World Cup. “Streetball” played in festivals and theaters across the globe and is now for sale online at Osiris Entertainment. She also produced The Parent Show for PBS and is currently producing on the new “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” for PBSKids!
